Meet Your Therapist

Evi Koehl, Registered Clinical Counsellor

About Me

Hi, I’m Evi (she/her). I live in Vancouver, and work as a registered clinical counsellor in the province of British Columbia. I have felt a call to be a healer since very early in life and I feel very privileged to do this special work. I have spent time as a client too, and know how transformative this work can be.

Professional Experience

I have been in professional healthcaring positions for the past 15 years.

From my early experiences as an RN to my current role as a registered clinical counselor (or RCC), my passion has always been for the healing that can happen in safe, meaningful and supportive connections.

I have had experiences working with adults of all ages as they adjust to life transitions, heal from trauma, handle tricky relationships or better understand who they are.

My Therapeutic Approach

My approach with clients is soft, curious and deeply accepting. Life hands us all tough experiences from time to time, but we don’t need to endure those experiences alone or in vain.

Instead, times of hardship and pain can be our doorways to insight, growth and positive change.

I use a combination of therapy approaches including emotionally-focused therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness practices and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).

These approaches are tools we can use to access the innate wisdom of our bodies, minds and spirits. I am here to walk alongside you as you bravely engage in this work.

Areas of Specialization:

  • Level 1 Emotional Focused Therapy (EFTFI)

  • 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming care

  • Neurodivergent affirming care (ADHD, auDHD, HSP) |

  • Trauma

  • Addiction Issues

  • Anxiety & Depression

  • Relationship challenges

  • Life Transitions

My Mission:

My mission is to provide a safe and empowering space where you can find the inner resources to move forward with hope, self-reliance and self-compassion. I look forward to getting to know you.

B Flood, Canadian Clinical Counsellor

About Me

My name’s B and I’m a Newfoundlander who’s wandered out West, admittedly for the better weather. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor and meditation teacher with a naturotherapist designation.

The values that lay the foundation for my practice are mindfulness, authenticity, autonomy, and self-actualization. I identify as queer and have experience living alternative lifestyles.

I have been described as down-to-earth and silly, and I like to incorporate these aspects into my therapy. Outside of work you will probably find me foraging, dancing, or hanging out with my dog.

Professional Experience

I have experience supporting a wide range of clients, including neurodivergent, 2SLGBTQIA+, and BIPOC communities, as well as those navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, grief, BPD, and social phobias.

My Approach:

I blend talk therapy with somatic approaches to help you gain new awareness into yourself and your situation, learn to better regulate your emotions, and develop a deeper sense of meaning and purpose in your life.

I use a strengths-based and radical acceptance approach that lets you know that you are not the problem. Instead, we find new ways to use your strengths to navigate the world around you to cultivate more ease and satisfaction in your day-to-day life.

Immerse yourself in this mindful experience that will leave you feeling a deeper sense of fulfillment and clarity on how to move forward.

Meet Your Therapist

Laura Ferron, Registered Psychotherapist

About Me

Hi there. Thank you for stopping by my profile. Though I would welcome a chance to meet you virtually, first, let me take a moment to introduce myself.

My name is Laura and I have had the privilege of supporting people seeking positive changes in their lives. Perhaps you're here because you too are searching for something - whatever that may look/feel/sound like. If this is true, let me welcome you into this phase of your journey. Sometimes it’s smooth to get here. Sometimes it's prickly, painful, uncertain, and messy. Sometimes it's a mixture of both. Regardless, I would like to honor where it is that you are.

As a practicing therapist, I have had the pleasure of being alongside individuals as they look to navigate life's complexities. Together, we create clarity out of your curiosities, rework patterns that no longer serve you in a current-day context, and revisit formative experiences, so that you can find your sense of self again.

Professional Experience

Having experience supporting individuals navigating heightened states of anxiety, bipolar, ADHD, Borderline Personality Organization, complex PTSD, suicide ideation, addictions, and schizoaffective outcomes (to name a few), these difficulties often arise from experiences of relational disruption, abuse, sexual assault, life changes and transitions, and new diagnoses (to name a few).

In addition to utilizing Psychodynamic Psychotherapy through a trauma-informed lens, we can also leverage (though, do not have to) evidence-based practices like Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Somatic Integration to help find clarity amid the confusion.

My Approach:

In my therapeutic practice, I recognize that there is an internal motivation behind your desire to explore aspects of your life that may not be functioning optimally.

My role is to create a safe and curious space, and foster empathic connection so that you can delve into your unique experiences. Your role is to explore and express yourself free from judgment or shame.

Acknowledging that you are the expert on your own life, my client-centric approach encompasses various dimensions of inclusion. By exploring elements like different life stages (from childhood to late adulthood), cultural influences, social constructs, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, diversity, intergenerational dynamics, and family order, a greater understanding can be attained.

It can be through these elements that your personal narrative and identity have been shaped, including the triggers that may need healing.

  • Abuse

  • ADHD

  • Anxiety Organizations

  • c-PTSD/PTSD

  • Eating Disorders

  • Grief and Loss

  • Mood Disorders (Bi-Polar, Depression)
